Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Granted, operated by Quill, Inc. By selecting the agreement checkbox and choosing Agree and continue, you agree to these terms. Our Privacy Policy explains our information practices. Optional sharing and AI permissions remain separate from this agreement.

You must be at least 13 to use Granted. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, you must have permission from your parent or guardian. If you use Granted for an organization, you must be authorized to do so. An institutional contract, if signed, controls any conflict for the services and records it covers.

Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and use only accounts and records you are authorized to access. Tell us if you suspect someone is misusing your account. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account.

Do not impersonate others, submit fraudulent applications or award claims, harass people, upload unlawful content, violate intellectual-property rights, introduce malicious code, evade access controls or usage limits, or disrupt the service. Do not access another student’s private information without permission. Advisors must follow their institution’s rules and the permissions shown in each workspace.

Granted helps you discover opportunities, organize applications, prepare drafts, collaborate and record results. Scholarship providers decide eligibility and awards. Information, deadlines, matching suggestions and AI output may be incomplete or incorrect. Check original sources and review every submission. Granted does not guarantee a scholarship, a particular award amount, admission or graduation without debt.

Follow each scholarship or fellowship’s rules on authorship, AI use, advisor assistance and submission. You remain responsible for the truthfulness and permitted use of your work. Assistance in Granted does not override a provider’s restrictions. Granted is not a substitute for legal, tax or individualized financial advice.

You retain your rights in essays and other content you provide. You give Quill a limited permission to host, process, copy, transmit and display that content as needed to provide the features you request, secure the service and comply with applicable obligations, consistent with the Privacy Policy. This permission does not transfer ownership of your essays to Quill.

Upload or share only material you have permission to use. You choose whether to share through available advisor, squad, portfolio and Google Docs features. Recipients may keep copies they already received. Disconnecting a service does not undo a comment already sent to it or delete content from the original service.

Granted’s software, design and branding remain the property of Quill or its licensors. We permit you to use them through the service for its intended purposes; these terms do not grant rights to resell or reproduce the service.

If you choose a paid plan, its price, billing period and renewal terms are shown before purchase. Manage subscriptions through the available billing settings or contact support. Cancellation, refunds and any statutory rights follow the terms disclosed at purchase and applicable law. Sponsored access may depend on an institution’s arrangement and may change when that arrangement ends.

Google, payment processors, scholarship providers and other external services have their own terms and availability. You are responsible for following their rules when using them. Quill does not control their award decisions, outages or changes. Report a connection problem to Granted support so we can help investigate.

We work to keep Granted available, but interruptions, errors and changes can occur. Keep copies of important work and allow time before deadlines. We may limit or suspend access for misuse, a security risk, legal requirements or nonpayment, with notice when reasonable and lawful.

You may stop using Granted and close your account in Settings. Review the Privacy Policy for records retained separately and backup limits. Account closure and subscription cancellation are separate operations unless the interface expressly confirms both; cancel any paid subscription before closing your account or contact support for help.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Granted is provided as available, without a promise of uninterrupted operation, error-free information or fitness for a particular scholarship outcome. These terms do not exclude rights, warranties or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded, including protections applicable to consumers. They do not excuse fraud or intentional misconduct.

If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful. No delay in enforcing a term is a waiver of that term. These terms do not create an employment, agency or partnership relationship between you and Quill.

We will identify revisions with a new version and provide notice of material changes. When we require acceptance of updated terms, you will be able to review them before agreeing. You can still request your available records, contact support or close your account if you do not agree.
